July 31st-More Pictures by Jessie

Jessie sent me the DVD of all of our images from our maternity shoot! If you would like to view all of them, go here. Click on the "Clients" tab. Where it says "enter password" type "Wittleder". When you type, it should show up as asterisks, not letters. It can be a little tricky because it is hard to tell where to type. But if you see asterisks, you are good to go! Here are some more that you haven't seen yet:

160.2 this week.

On Saturday, after my baby shower, Matt and I went to the Mastercraft professional wakeboarding competition in Colorado Springs. It was on Prospect Lake. We didn't want to pay to get in, so we went to the other side of the lake and watched from there! It was much more peaceful over there anyways!

Matt has a video he was going to put up, but I told him I would just post and he can add it later if he wants to.

I will post some baby shower pictures. Amber's sister took pictures and Amber put them on a DVD for me. I just need to go pick them up! It was a wonderful shower.

July 22nd- Professional Maternity Pictures!

Our good friend, Jessie, took maternity pictures of Matt and I when we went to Indianapolis over the 4th of July. We went to college with Jessie at Indiana Wesleyan and then when we lived in Indy we hung out with her and her husband, Adam. Adam & Matt played every Sunday on a flag football league. We are reminded how much we miss them every time we go home! They have the cutest little girls too, Noah & Jocelyn. I wish I would have snapped a picture or two AT the photo shoot. The girls were with us and Matt was pulling them around in their Red Flyer wagon! They are the cutest girls I think I have ever seen.

I was 32 weeks at this point. Jessie is sending us a DVD of 160 images next week, but here are just a few previews of the photo shoot:

My 32 Week appointment was on Tuesday. I go in again in two weeks...and then I will have appointments every week after that! I can't believe how the time is flying. My doctor thinks I am the picture of perfect health. I keep thinking I have him so fooled! But the pregnancy continues to go smoothly. He noted that my ankles look completely normal..not swollen at all. I wonder if the lack of humidity in Colorado helps this? I'm not sure. He thinks that because I am still active and exercising my circulation is very good and preventing me from swelling.

The baby's heartbeat was 155. This is a girl's heartbeat...not that that is very accurate. The baby could have just been excited! When he told me it was a girl's heartbeat I said, "Oh...you are going to be wrong, you said you think it is a boy!" :) He reminded me that his boy prediction was nothing but a guess! Ha ha. I guess we will see soon enough!

I lost a pound from 2 weeks ago. But Dr. Shelton also said this is perfectly normal! He is going on vacation at the beginning of August, so I will have another doctor next visit. I am okay with this as long as he is around for my due date!

34 Weeks!

I weighed in at 158.8 this week.

So over the weekend, Matt and I did another purge of the apartment! This was triggered by picking up our new travel system on Friday! Dad and Mom Witt got us this stroller/car seat combination. I LOVE it! High quality, gender neutral and easy to use. Here is the car seat alone:

Doesn't he look great behind a stroller? He's a natural. Here the car seat is in the stroller.

So after picking up the stroller and putting it together, we decided we needed some more room. We did some more cleaning out of closets, moving stuff around and making a trip to Goodwill! Now the stroller and car seat fit IN the closet. I always feel so much better after getting rid of things!

We also have been working on organization for the baby's room. Here are the brown bins that I would like to put labels on that match the bedding.

And here is our closet organizer:

Matt and I went to Target over the weekend too. Every time we go he shows me these shoes and says that if we have a boy as soon as he finds out he is running out to Target to buy these:

He was afraid they wouldn't be there anymore so he convinced me to let him buy them now and return them if we have a little girl. :)

Then he found another pair of shoes for newborns that were less than 4 bucks.

And of course, we had to build an entire outfit:

And just in case it is a girl:

He is in charge of ALL returns after we come home with the baby!

According to www.babycenter.com Jeopardy should weigh over 4 pounds by now and measures longer than 17 inches! This babe has been very active lately. Matt and I are both wondering if I will deliver early...we feel like I might. But feelings are all that they are. Except that in Colorado there is a greater chance of delivering early because of the altitude. So we shall see!

We picked up some items for the baby's room this weekend. I found some brown bins that I like and they fit perfectly on the bookshelf by the crib. My plan is to glue on fabric letters to label them. For example, "Toys", "Books", Clothes" etc. I will probably use the fabric from an extra crib sheet so that the blue is a perfect match! I may wait until after the babe arrives so I have a better idea of what I am actually going to store in them.

We also picked up a closet organizer that hangs from the rod and gives us 3 extra shelves plus room to hang some clothes. Gotta love Target! Sorry, no pictures to post of these items yet. You will have to use your imagination!

July 6th- 32+ weeks Dr's Appt

Matt and I were in Indy this past weekend visiting Matt's family for the 4th of July. So I am without a picture to post of the belly shot! Although, my talented photographer and friend Jessie did take maternity pictures for us while we were back in Indiana...so technically I will have many pictures! Just not yet. I will have post the link when she has them up on her blog. Here is Jessie and I after the big photo shoot:

And here's a picture of the six of us at the IMA (Indianapolis Museum of Art).

I had a doctor's appointment the day after we got back from Indy. Dr. Shelton thinks everything still looks great and he says "life has been good to me" in terms of pregnancy. I weghed in at 159 at the office. I did ask him on this visit what he thought the gender was. He says a boy...although he calls it "just a guess". My nurse, Anna Marie, feels the same way.

In spite of all of this, I am continuing to read "Bringing Up Girls" by Dr. Dobson. I love this book and have been waiting for him to come out with it. Did you know that a girl's self-esteem and confidence is directly linked to her relationship with her dad? While moms do play an important part in the life of a girl, the father-daughter relationship is much more crucial in the development of who she feels she is as a woman. I have already read "Bringing Up Boys" back in my days at Focus on the Family Institute and I found it equally intriguing.
